  Beyond the Community...

Our work extends literally around the world.
We are one of 11,000 congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Together, we can do a lot!

We support Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. The Lutheran Social Service network across the country provides a wide variety of needed ministries including adoption, foster care, drug and alcohol recovery programs, and nursing homes. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America provides one fourth of all the privately owned nursing home beds in the United States.

We help support 28 colleges of the church where matters of faith can be openly discussed with relationship to all other disciplines.

We support 8 seminaries to train pastors and other leaders for the church of tomorrow.

We contribute to the church's World Hunger Program, one of the largest, most efficient, most effective, and most respected in the entire world.

We support Lutheran World Relief, especially through an annual quilt and clothing drive. Our efforts here relieve great misery and even save lives, all in the name of Jesus Christ.

We help place missionaries in some 60 countries to witness to Christ while assisting with education, medicine, and agriculture.

The Mission of Bible Alive is to inform, interest, and engage a wide variety of people in the Bible through a collection of special and unique artifacts and resources. Visit our Bible Alive Web site
